Minute Maid launches “Tollgate Happy Hour” to boost travel experience during ZITF

Minute Maid has announced a new consumer activation designed to make highway travel more enjoyable during one of Zimbabwe’s busiest periods: the run-up to the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).
On April 17, 2026, the brand revealed plans for the “Tollgate Happy Hour” experience, an initiative that offers motorists a simple but rewarding break at the road’s most common stopping point—the tollgate.
At the heart of the activation is increased comfort and value for travellers heading out on ZITF travel routes.
Through the programme, motorists will receive free access to the Ntabazinduna Tollgate and the chance to enjoy refreshing Minute Maid juice products, including Minute Maid Pulpy and a variety of fruit flavours.
The goal is to turn what is normally a routine tollgating experience into something positive—refreshing travellers at the exact time they need relief and convenience most.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with ZINARA, supporting the roll-out of toll-related access and strengthening the activation’s legitimacy and operational alignment. As part of the giveaway, Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) passes will be offered to qualifying motorists during scheduled time windows.
Minute Maid stated that the complimentary LMV passes will be available on Sunday, April 19, 2026, and Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
By concentrating the giveaway into two clearly defined morning periods, the activation is positioned to match peak travel patterns—when many drivers are already on the road and are most likely to welcome a quick, meaningful stop.
Commenting on the initiative, Faith Nehanda from Coca-Cola emphasized the importance of being present where consumers need refreshment.
In her remarks, she highlighted that Minute Maid’s message is rooted in quality, value, and meaningful engagement, reflecting the brand’s commitment to showing up for customers not only through products, but also through real-life experiences that improve everyday journeys.
