NetOne's Compassion Spreads Joy and Unity

​This Christmas, a powerful force of goodwill journeyed across Zimbabwe, traveling through "dusty roads, quiet villages, and provinces often spoken of only in statistics". 

This initiative, described as "When NetOne Became Family — A Christmas of Tears, Joy and Unity", transformed the festive season into a profound statement of national belonging and inclusive development.

​The journey began in Gokwe, Midlands, where vulnerable households, child-headed families, and elderly citizens were welcomed with "more than hampers, but human presence". 

It was an act of restoring dignity, reminding them, "you have not been forgotten".

​The spirit then moved to Chipinge, Manicaland, in Musikavanhu Constituency, where the event was hosted by Deputy Minister A. Gata and graced by Deputy Minister Hon. John Paradza. 

Deputy Minister A. Gata was visibly moved, stating, “What we witnessed here is the true spirit of nation-building. 

To see our elderly and vulnerable smiling with renewed dignity reminds us why inclusive development matters... We are grateful, and we are encouraged”. The Chipinge gathering also served as a platform for renewal, strengthening the national "Say No to Drugs initiative led by MenBelieved".

​In Matabeleland South, the cheer arrived at Ntunungwe Village in Bulilima, honoring Mr. Anuloisa Banda, believed to be the oldest person in Zimbabwe at 122 years old. The moment highlighted that "the well-being of our elderly is a measure of our national character".

​Group CEO Eng. Raphael Mushanawani underscored the initiative's deeper philosophy, aligning it with Vision 2030: “As we move from NDS1 into NDS2, our mandate is clear: development must be people-centred, empowering, and inclusive. Christmas Cheer is not an event — it is a philosophy... Giving back is not an obligation for us; it is a privilege and a commitment to national transformation”.

​This Christmas belonged to the villages, reminding the nation that "unity is our greatest wealth". The campaign leaves an enduring message: "That no community is too small, no province too far, and no citizen too forgotten for Zimbabwe’s story of progress".
