​NetOne Group Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Raphael Mushanawani, delivered a compelling speech at the Vision 2030 Intergenerational Dialogue Summit on November 12, 2025, emphasizing NetOne's crucial role as a national enabler of opportunity and a partner in Zimbabwe's digital transformation journey. 

​Addressing a distinguished gathering that included Vice President Dr. Kembo Mohadi and several Ministers, Engineer Mushanawani noted that technology must serve as a digital bridge connecting the wisdom of the older generation with the innovation and agility of the youth. 

The summit's theme underscored NetOne's mission to ensure that technology connects, rather than divides, generations. 

​Guided by the visionary leadership of President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, the nation is redefining its development trajectory through digital transformation and inclusive human capital growth. 

NetOne is actively deploying the foundational digital infrastructure to ensure the next generation can thrive in a connected world. 

​The CEO highlighted NetOne's deliberate focus on youth empowerment through strategic partnerships with tertiary institutions, innovation hubs, and vocational training centers. 

These initiatives are designed to nurture innovators, software developers, and data scientists to drive Zimbabwe’s Fourth Industrial Revolution. 

The goal is to catch them young and ensure every student becomes a digital contributor. 

​NetOne’s commitment extends beyond connectivity, focusing on the human impact of technology. The company is leveraging technology to support national campaigns against drug and substance abuse among the youth, aiming to use digital tools for rehabilitation and education. 

The speech detailed how connectivity is transforming key economic sectors. 

In Smart Agriculture, mobile technology empowers young farmers with access to weather forecasts, digital mapping, and land-use information, effectively turning land into opportunity and securing food stability. 

Similarly, in Smart Mining, digital surveying and claim management tools are breaking historical barriers, enabling young Zimbabweans to participate efficiently and responsibly in the mining value chain. 

​Engineer Mushanawani noted that NetOne measures success not by the number of towers built, but by the number of lives transformed—from a young farmer accessing real-time data to a rural student accessing e-learning. 

As the nation moves toward Vision 2030, NetOne remains anchored in inclusivity, innovation, and integrity, committed to ensuring no community is left disconnected from the national vision.
