The town of Kadoma is bracing for what's being touted as the biggest event on the entertainment calendar: the Kadoma Music Festival, scheduled for October 11th at the renowned Oddessy.
This year's festival boasts a truly star-studded and diverse lineup, featuring international heavyweights alongside Zimbabwe's finest.
Headlining the international contingent, straight from Jamaica, are the dancehall and reggae maestros Busy Signal and Chris Martin.
Their presence guarantees an electric atmosphere, bringing a taste of the Caribbean's vibrant rhythms to the heart of Zimbabwe.
The local scene is equally represented by a formidable array of top-tier talent.
Fans will be treated to performances from the "Maestro" Alick Macheso, Zimdancehall icon Winky D, the prolific Felinandi, the multi-award-winning Freeman HKD, and rising stars like Julian King, Qonfused, and traditional music exponent Kurai Makore.
This diverse mix of genres—from sungura and dancehall to Afro-fusion—ensures there's something for every music lover.
In addition to the main acts, a host of local DJs will be on rotation throughout the event, keeping the energy high and the crowd moving well into the night.
Speaking to the press, event organisers particularly Prince Mharadze said "all is set and fans should expect a show to remember with enhanced security and good crowd control measures."
The combination of global appeal and local dominance has solidified the Kadoma Music Festival's position as a must-attend event, promising an unforgettable night of high-energy performances and musical excellence.
It’s a spectacular convergence of talent, making this festival a powerful statement on Zimbabwe's growing entertainment landscape.
