“Drink Up”: Winky D and Busy Signal Unleash the Official Anthem for the Castle Lager Braai Fest

​The countdown is on for the highly anticipated 10th anniversary of the Castle Lager Braai Festival, set to ignite the atmosphere at Glamis Arena in Harare on October 18. 

This year’s grand finale, which follows a nationwide series of Micro Braai events, promises a massive celebration of food, cold brews, and a star-studded lineup featuring South African heavyweights DJ Tira and Heavy K, alongside top local trailblazers like Nutty O, Tamy Moyo, Enzo Ishall, and Saintfloew.

​However, the festive mood reached a fever pitch with the sudden, surprise drop of "Drink Up", a sizzling collaboration between ZimDancehall prodigy Winky D and Jamaican dancehall giant Busy Signal. 

Released unexpectedly over the weekend, the track has instantly become the official party anthem of the Braai Fest season, perfectly capturing the theme of unity and good vibes ahead of the grand celebration.

​The collaboration, which was only vaguely rumoured since August, immediately sent fans into a frenzy, with #DrinkUpCollabo trending across social media. 

Fans are hailing it as a "cultural bridge" that proves ZimDancehall belongs on the global stage.

​"Drink Up" marks the first full collaboration between the two artists, though they had previously shared a rhythm on the "Dubstyle Riddim" earlier this year. 

The unexpected release now dramatically raises the stakes for Winky D's much-anticipated performance at the Braai Fest. 

Fans are eager to see if the two will perform the cross-continental hit together, cementing it as one of 2025's biggest dancehall tracks.


​Adding a modern twist, the single was accompanied by an AI-generated music video. 


This futuristic visual features digital versions of both artists performing in a virtual mashup of Kingston and Harare, complete with neon-lit streets and a crowd raising their drinks in celebration.


​With early bird tickets selling out rapidly, the combination of world-class music, mouthwatering braai, and the Winky D and Busy Signal soundtrack has ensured that the Castle Braai Fest’s 10th anniversary will be an unforgettable national toast to unity.
